Hi, I’m Dawn Jumper!
Here are a few things to know about me:
#1
I believe in the power of good manners.
Young people who are equipped with “good people skills”- who are considerate, respectful, and kind, will be more successful (and happier) in the classroom, in their relationships, and in their future workplaces.
#2
I believe that good manners and social confidence must be learned, so it is parents’ and educators’ responsibility to teach these important skills.
Mastering good manners and social confidence is just as important to a child’s future as good grades and high test scores.
#3
I believe parents and educators can teach these important skills in an engaging, positive, and empowering way…
and I’m here to help.
How can I help your child learn good manners and become more confident?
✨ In the Chattanooga area, I teach children’s (grades 1-12) manners classes, workshops, and Junior Cotillion. To view my current manners class schedule, click here. I’m passionate about creating light bulb moments for my students and equipping them with social confidence and good manners.
✨ I share advice and how-to’s to help parents teach manners at home here on my site and in my weekly VIP newsletter. I also offer online courses (see my Family Table Manners Boot Camp). Join my newsletter here.
✨ I help moms start their own manners teaching businesses by sharing my teaching curriculum, start-up advice, and coaching. Maybe owning a children’s manners teaching business is right for you? Learn more here:

Professional
Since 2010, I have taught young people good manners and social confidence through enrichment classes, junior cotillion programs, and workshops. I’ve presented at many middle and high schools, national student leadership conferences, and universities (FFA and FBLA Nationals, Vanderbilt Athletics, Dalton State College, and the University of Tennessee Chattanooga and others).
My teaching style has been described as:
- Engaging, Relevant, and Confidence-Building
- Interactive, Hands-on, and Fun
Personal
I’m married to the love of my life, Jay. He keeps me centered, believes in me and my business, and he’s just lots of fun to share life with.
Once upon a time, we had three little ones, all under four years old. The years have flown by, and there are no more track meets, football practices, PTA meetings, carpools, or curfews for us. We do miss those days, though!
Our family is growing- we’re proud parents to our daughter and two sons, plus a wonderful son-in-law and granddaughter.
On weekends, you might find me hiking with my husband and our pup, Beau, in the East Tennessee mountains.
Thanks for stopping by. Let’s keep in touch! You can find me here:
