Dear Parents,
I am so pleased to invite your 7th grader to join the Chattanooga Junior Cotillion program. We are in our 17th year of this special Chattanooga tradition!
Junior Cotillion teaches social confidence, good manners, consideration for others, and leadership skills in a fun and engaging setting. Topics include:
- introductions and first impressions
- making conversation
- dining etiquette at home and out
- respect and consideration for others
- traits of a lady and gentleman
- being an “includer” and friendship rules
- gratitude
Students will also learn three social dances. Dance partners are paired at random and alternate throughout each lesson. No one is left out or ever “asks” someone to dance. Our dance instruction teaches students that dancing is a fun way to socialize, and you don’t have to be a perfect dancer to enjoy the dance floor.
Treating others with respect and kindness is a cornerstone of Chattanooga Junior Cotillion. The life skills learned at Junior Cotillion will help make your child more confident and successful in all walks of life.
The Junior Cotillion experience includes confidence-building manners and dance instruction on three Sunday afternoons, a CJC souvenir, the seated four-course Friday night dinner dance, plus fun memories that will last a lifetime!
Registration will close once the class limit is met, so please don’t delay. Registration is accepted online only. All the details and the registration form are below.
I hope to see you and your 7th grader at Junior Cotillion!
Sending you all my best,
Dawn Jumper
Director, Chattanooga Junior Cotillion
