I am so pleased to invite your child to join the Chattanooga Junior Cotillion program. We are in our 15th year of this special Chattanooga tradition! Registration is on a first-come basis and is open now. This year we are offering our program for 7th-graders and a separate program for the 8th-grade class who missed the Junior Cotillion experience last year due to Covid restrictions.
**7th is full. Click the green button at the bottom of this page to be added to the 7th-grade waitlist.**
Junior Cotillion teaches social confidence, good manners, consideration for others, and leadership skills in a fun and engaging setting. Topics include:
- introductions and first impressions
- making conversation
- netiquette basics and screen manners
- dining etiquette at home and out
- respect and consideration for others
- traits of a lady and gentleman
- being an “includer” and friendship rules
Students will also learn three social dances. Dance partners are paired at random and alternate throughout each lesson. No one is left out or ever “asks” someone to dance. Our dance instruction teaches students that dancing is a fun way to socialize, and you don’t have to be a perfect dancer to enjoy the dance floor.
Treating others with respect and kindness is a cornerstone of Chattanooga Junior Cotillion. The life skills learned at junior cotillion will help make your child more confident and successful in all walks of life.
We meet three Sunday afternoons February 6, 13, 27 for class and on a Friday evening for a festive dinner dance at the Chattanoogan Hotel. The 7th grade dinner dance is on March 4th and the 8th grade is on March 11th.
Tuition is $250 which includes all manners and dance instruction, class prizes, a CJC souvenir, the seated four-course dinner dance, plus fun memories that will last a lifetime!
Registration will close once the class limit is met, so please don’t delay. Registration is accepted online only. Click the green button below that corresponds to your child’s grade to read class-specific times and to register. You will also find a helpful FAQ page.
Sending you all my best,
Director, Chattanooga Junior Cotillion
