The Superpower Every Family Needs (plus 3 tips on how to get it)

Hi friend!

Welcome back to the ‘Finding Joy at Home‘ series.
Did you miss part 1? You can read it here.

Busy schedules, long to-do lists, and unexpected challenges (like the flat tire I had the other day!) can steal our joy.

But in the middle of all the craziness, one powerful tool can bring more peace into our lives…gratitude.

Did you know that research has proven that gratitude calms anxiety and fights stress?

And here’s more good news about gratitude. It’s easy to make gratitude an everyday habit in your home.
Here are three tried and true tips for you.

3 Simple Ways to Add Gratitude to Your Family Life

1- Post-it Note Magic- This is so good! Read about it here.

2- Start a Family Daily Gratitude Habit—Set a time to share one thing each of you is thankful for. You could do this at dinner every night, on the drive to school, or at bedtime. There are no rules—it can be something big (a promotion!) or small (no homework tonight!). Taking time to recognize all the blessings in your lives will shift your family’s perspective and make room for joy, even on the most stressful days.

3- Show Gratitude to Others—Think about the people who make your lives better—the mail carrier, a teacher, or a kind neighbor. Brainstorm ways your family can show your appreciation. Write a thank you note, bake a treat to share, or drop off some flowers. A small act of gratitude can greatly impact the giver and the receiver!

Try these tips and let me know how it goes. I’d love to hear from you.

I am so grateful for you, mom…for all you do for your family and community. I’m cheering you on!

Check back here for part 3 of my ” Finding Joy At Home” series next week.

Sending you all my best,

Dawn
