Finding Joy at Home (even when life is a bit crazy)
Hi friend!
I saw this headline the other day:

So it’s not just us—everyone is feeling it.
We were not made to live like this.
So, I’ve been thinking about how we can find more joy at home, even when life feels crazy.
This is part one of a 3-part series.
Sharing Family Meals Matters Now More Than Ever
I know what you’re thinking, “Cooking and dirty dishes… that’s not joyful!”
Well, hear me out.
Family meals give us a sense of routine and comfort. In an unpredictable world, they give our family something to count on, and as moms, they give us a chance to pause and bring everyone together.
3 Simple Tips to Make Family Meals Happen
- Keep it easy: Paper plates, pizza—whatever works. It’s not about the food; it’s about your time together.
- Start small: Look at your calendar, pick a realistic goal for the upcoming week, and make a plan. Maybe it’s takeout on Tuesday, pancakes and bacon on Saturday morning, a new recipe Sunday night. Be intentional.
- Add some fun: Let the kids set the table, play some background music, or try a dinner table game—get creative!
