There are so many good reasons to start your own manners teaching business in your community. Here are few of my favorites.
1- You make a positive difference in the lives of children and their families through your manners classes. Manners teaching is a ray of light 🌞 in our often negative and self-centered culture. Good manners are based on consideration, kindness, and respect for others. Good manners have to be taught- we aren’t born with them. As a manners teacher, you make the world a better place- one student at a time!
2- You can be a changemaker through your manners teaching. Manners classes empower 💪 young people! For example, when a student learns in manners class how to introduce himself and how to make polite conversation, he feels prepared for new situations (which equals confidence socially, in the classroom, and in his future workplace). We create light bulb moments in manners class; helping students become confident and considerate.

3- You’ll be on a fun adventure. You will never be bored in your work! Each manners class you teach will be different because you’ll teach in a variety of settings and to various ages of students. Plus you’ll add your personal flair 😍 and creativity to your manners teaching which keeps your manners classes fresh and fun.
4- You’re the boss. You set your own work schedule in your manners business. I have weeks that I work typical part-time hours and some weeks that I don’t work much at all. It’s up to me! As a manners teacher, you can set your class schedule around your family, vacations, etc. 🕑
5- You’ll become more connected to your community. Through your manners class business, you’ll make new friends and connections🌎 with school principals, parents, community leaders, teachers, etc. A bonus is all the young people you’ll get to know over the years. It’s so fun to see them when they’re older and catch up on what they are up to (and see how they’ve benefited from your manners teaching)!
6- You’ll be proud of yourself! In my manners business, there have been times I’ve had to step outside of my comfort zone and do new things; like when I traveled to Philadelphia to present manners workshops to conference rooms full of 200+ FFA students. It was a little scary but exciting 💗 (and the workshops were a big success)!
It’s been 9+ years since I started my manners business.
I’m so thankful I get to make money doing work I love!
I can help you do the same in your community.
